This ice rink is beautiful and the ice skating is great,it is a great family atmosphere and the lights are cool.Over all this is a great place that I would 100% recommend coming to with family and friends.
Nice big facility, 4 sheets. Pretty cold rink. No hot beverages. Beautiful warm hang out area with a gas fireplace. Arcade. No pro shop (it’s two miles down the road). Skate sharpening on sparks machine - $10. I wish people stopped smoking in front of sports facilities for children :)
Very nice 4 sheet nice rink. No Tim Hortons coffee inside.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. The first red flag should have been the 10+ dollar admission fee. I have my own skates so I was spared paying more than 10 dollars but renting skates and skate aids will certainly cost you a pretty penny. Especially considering that most rinks charge 7 dollars for admission. While there are differences in price everywhere (one rink I know of charges 12 dollars for admission alone).
The entire place was just a disaster; completely unorganised. The downstairs area had a strange smell about it and I was worried that my skate bag would get stolen if Ieft alone.
The staff at the front desk were curt and one of the skate guards yelled at me after watching me get pushed by another patron; I told both the skate guard and the patron that the patron had no right to put their hands on me and push me regardless of what was going on just to have the skate guard tell me that "I should know better" and that because I was in figure skates and that I can "only skate in the center of the rink". I moved to the center only to be told "you can't skate there,". Between being told that was my fault I got pushed and then being told that I couldn't skate anywhere on the rink.
In short, this place has: awful staff, strange smells, shifty/disrespectful patrons with no sense of space, and skate guards with no understanding of rink etiquette. If you value skating at all, DO NOT GO HERE.
An ice rink should always be able to offer something warm to drink such as coffee or tea, especially one called Tim Hortons. I have been there several times for league hockey games and nothing was available. They had vending machines for ice cream, cotton candy and more, but nothing for a hot drink.
Your facility used to be the nicest, cleanest and most liked hockey facility in New York. From Buffalo to Albany it was the best. You are ruining it. Not clean at all. No place to eat or drink at all. Kids are OK with overpriced vending machines. Their parents and guardians are the ones that foot that bill. Save it before it is to far gone.
Attended during a hockey tournament. Great location! Convenient for parents/families to hang out and watch with comfort and from a warm lobby space upstairs. However, was very disappointed that there was no hot tea or coffee, only beer or wine 🤷♀️😕 …
First time there,
Very large complex,
Fast food available,
We were lucky to show up
When a Detroit team of
Teen aged girls were playing
One of our local teams,
I had a hard time figuring
Out if I was watching the Amerks,
Or these teen age girls playing
Hockey
Nice facility. There are four ice rinks. Video from each rink translates at the fire place. The information about the teams playing and locker rooms is displayed on the screens at the main entrance. No pro shop, but 'Pure Hockey' is just 5 mins away.
Skates are all in terrible condition. The first pair I got the bottom was fully breaking through, unskateable. The second pair was also falling apart but worked. They don't even have half sizes! Don't skate here.
